RICHMOND, CA, August 25th 2006 - The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that HAWK Performance Brake Pads will offer $67,575 in product rewards to the top 10 finishers in all classes at the inaugural NASA Championship event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on September 14th-17th, 2006.

HAWK Performance Motorsports Sales Manager Jeff Smallwood said, "Hawk Performance is very pleased to be involved in this first ever NASA National Championships at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Being located in North East Ohio allows us to frequently utilize the Mid-Ohio facility for our Research and Development projects. We feel this experience will give NASA drivers an advantage as we are very familiar with this track and have played a part in many wins and championships here. When we set out to design a contingency program for the NASA Championships, we wanted above all to offer the program to more then just the podium finishers and I believe the drivers and teams will be very pleased that we have accomplished this as well as made it simple to take part in." Hawk Performance will also be onsite during the event in garage 12A offering technical assistance as well as having product available for purchase.

The contingency award program will apply to ALL CLASSES and will award the top ten finishers with certificates good toward the purchase of Hawk Performance Brake pads.

Competitors must meet the following requirements to be eligible for this contingency.
- Display 4 Hawk decals - front, back and each side of the vehicle during the week's event.
(Decals available from Hawk Performance at Garage 12A in the paddock).
- No other brake pad company's decals may be displayed on the vehicle.
- Winning drivers must pick up awards at garage 12A prior to the end of the weekend's event and allow Hawk Performance to verify that contingency requirements have been met.
- No contingency certificates will be awarded following the close of the weekend's events.
